KLEIN SURFACE - 1983/2005
Acrylic paint on 120 lb Saunders paper, image size 74 x 52 cm, SOLD. Limited edition giclée prints available in sizes A1 and A2.
Named after the 'Klein bottle', which only has one surface, this image can similarly be seen as a single surface whose colour gradually changes from black to white (twice around the central pentagon).
The basic pattern was designed and drawn on tracing paper, traced onto thick watercolour paper and then painted with Liquitex artist-quality acrylics using square-tipped brushes.
