FEN LIGHTSCAPE - 1983

Acrylic paint on 140 lb watercolour paper, image size 71 x 52 cm, available framed in plain silver coloured metal (on wood) frame (overall size 95 x 76 cm).

This painting was inspired by the 'Young's Slit' experiment which shows the wave-like nature of light. The colours of the landscape pass through a hole in the horizon and spread out like a wave across the sky.

The basic pattern was designed and drawn on tracing paper, traced onto thick watercolour paper and then painted with Liquitex artist-quality acrylics using square-tipped brushes.
